Morocco’s Youth Pass: who it is for and how to use it

Morocco’s Youth Pass offers benefits to residents aged 16 to 30. Here is how it works and what users should verify in the app.

Pass Jeunes, Morocco’s Youth Pass, is a free application for Moroccan citizens and foreign residents in Morocco aged 16 to 30. It brings together benefits in areas including culture, sport, transport, accommodation and training. Nationwide access does not mean that every offer is available everywhere or indefinitely.

The reliable approach is to check the application when an offer is needed. Partners, quotas, times and conditions can change, and an old screenshot is not confirmation.

Who can apply

The official portal gives two central criteria: applicants must be aged 16 to 30 and live in Morocco. Both Moroccan citizens and foreign residents are included.

An application must belong to a real person using their own supporting documents. Accounts, passes and benefits should not be borrowed or copied. Questions about age, residence status or a particular document should go to official support rather than an intermediary.

The app is free, but benefits differ

Downloading the app and applying for a pass are free. The portal presents discounts or free access across museums and culture, sports, mobility, accommodation, training and other services.

“Free” describes entry to the programme, not every listed service. A discount may apply to a specific category, have limited capacity or require advance booking. Users should read the complete offer before travelling to a venue.

The registration process

The official journey starts with downloading the app, creating an account and submitting an application. Once the account is active, offers can be viewed, while pass validation is confirmed through a notification.

The portal states a maximum validation period of seven days. This is a service indication, not a guarantee where a file is incomplete or needs additional checks. Register before relying on a benefit for a specific date.

Understand the personal data requested

The terms refer to identity and contact details, city, national identity-card number, a selfie and a copy of an identity document. These elements support registration and beneficiary verification.

Before uploading anything, confirm that the app or website is official. Identity documents should never be sent through messaging to someone claiming they can accelerate approval. Use a screen lock and keep the phone’s software current.

How to verify an offer

A useful offer page should identify the partner, type of benefit, location, period, any conditions and the way to claim it. If information is incomplete or contradictory, contact the channel shown in the application before making the journey.

Actual access can depend on a partner’s capacity. The pass does not override a venue’s entry rules, documents required for transport or an accommodation provider’s booking conditions.

A national service with local outcomes

The nationwide rollout was announced in January 2025. At the time, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication described a target of 2.6 million young people by 2026.

That number is a stated target, not an achieved result. A proper evaluation would need validated-pass totals, actual use, territorial distribution and partnership continuity. The public portal describes the service but cannot alone measure its social impact.

What the pass can change for a young person

A cultural benefit can make a first visit easier; a transport discount can expand someone’s range; training can introduce a field of work. Value depends less on the headline number of offers than on relevance, proximity and availability.

The tool can support discovery of Morocco by its own residents. It should not be presented as a complete answer to limits involving mobility, income or digital access.

How this fits LMOS

This belongs in Morocco Today because it explains a contemporary public service and its practical use. It may lead readers towards cultural venues or destinations, but no LMOS affiliate offer is sufficiently connected to the programme to appear here.

LMOS does not collect Youth Pass documents or process applications. Registration remains entirely on official channels. That boundary protects the reader and keeps editorial information, public service and commerce distinct.

Before using the pass

  • Download the app through the link on the official portal.
  • Use only your own information and documents.
  • Allow for the stated validation period.
  • Recheck the offer’s exact conditions on the day of use.
  • Never send an identity document to an unofficial contact.
  • Contact support if an offer or pass status is unclear.
