Ryanair presented its Winter 2026 Morocco programme on 6 August. The airline announced 5.3 million seats, 156 routes and 17 new connections, with operations spread across thirteen airports in the Kingdom. The Moroccan National Tourism Office highlighted the potential to improve access to regions beyond the largest gateways.
These numbers describe announced commercial capacity. They are not guaranteed passenger totals or a promise of a particular fare. The announced winter figures
The airline’s release describes 5.3 million seats, 580,000 more than in the previous winter according to Ryanair. It lists 156 routes connecting Morocco with fourteen countries, including 17 new routes. Ryanair also says it has sixteen aircraft based in Morocco, including two associated with its Rabat base.
All these figures were published on 6 August 2026. They need a date because airline schedules can change before or during a season for operational and commercial reasons.
Rabat, Marrakech and Agadir lead the additions
The tourism office divides the announced new connections between Rabat, with seven, Marrakech, with five, and Agadir, with five. Public examples include Rabat–Stockholm, Rabat–Krakow, Marrakech–Wroclaw and services from Agadir to Milan, Nuremberg, Bratislava and Gdansk.
Those examples do not form a complete timetable. Operating days, frequency and the period in which a flight is offered must be checked in the airline’s booking system and with the relevant airports.
More direct access to Moroccan regions
The ONMT release says operations extend across thirteen Moroccan airports and may improve access to Fez, Tetouan, Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Dakhla and Nador. Arriving in a regional airport can remove a long transfer from Casablanca or Marrakech and make a less concentrated itinerary possible.
It does not remove the need to plan ground transport. A late arrival at a smaller airport may require a booked transfer, a night nearby or an onward departure the following morning. Evaluate the entire journey rather than the flight in isolation.
What this changes when planning a trip
The first question is not simply “which ticket is cheapest?” but “which gateway fits the itinerary?” Flying into Rabat and home from Agadir may suit a linear route, while a return ticket through one city can remain simpler for a short break.
Compare flight times, included baggage, transport to the centre, additional nights and change conditions. A headline fare does not necessarily represent the final cost once required services are included.
The limits of a capacity announcement
An announced seat is not a seat already sold or an additional visitor. A seasonal route may also operate only on selected days. Employment and investment figures in the release are the airline’s own estimates and should be attributed accordingly.
