Speaking of “Moroccan crafts” in the singular is convenient but reductive. A rug knotted in the Middle Atlas, pottery shaped in Tamegroute, a tray engraved in Fez and embroidery made in Rabat tell neither the same regional story, nor the same material story, nor the same history.
